OS-Deployment

In addition to the normal distribution of software, it can always happen, the computer will be completely re-attached. The install of a new operating system will cost the IT department often much valuable time.

The automated installation of complete OSs by the DeskCenter® Management Suite saves time in the IT department and sets resources free. Furthermore, the deployment integrates itself seamlessly into the Suite’s existing Client and Server Management. The interplay with the module Software Delivery allows equipping your client or server systems completely from the OS up to the applications.

In detail, the OS Deployment client licence contains the following functions:

  • Integrated and fully automated deployment of OSs
  • Support for Microsoft® Windows™ NT, Windows™ 2000, Windows™ Server NT/2000/2003/2008, Windows™ XP, Windows™ Vista (all versions)
  • Installation of OSs and imaging
  • Management of installation keys and activation keys using MAC addresses
  • Fully integrated configuration of unattended files and drivers support
  • Deployment using CD/DVD, USB memory, ISO image, integrated PXE server or alternative TFTP/DHCP/PXE server

Some of the advantages of the solution are a reduced number of installation errors and minimization of manual processes. This helps reducing the costs of the IT department.
