Prioritization (from the Latin prior = the upper, see also: Prior) is the classification according to priority of tasks, problems, purchases, construction projects, activities, etc. according to their relevance or importance, for example, with categories: important (priority) -- Less important (subordinated) or short term - the medium term - long term. The prioritization is used to the limited (financial) resources, capacity and time makes sense.
A process for prioritization is the ABC analysis, in which the tasks are devided into three categories:
1st A = very important,
2nd B = important,
3rd C = less important .
